523,114. Ambulance vehicles; litter carriages. MAWBY, R., and HOLT, A., [trading as HOMA ENGINEERING CO.]. Dec. 23, 1938, No. 37435. [Class 108 (ii)] The castor wheels 5 at the front of a hand propelled carriage or truck may be locked in a straight ahead position by fastenings 11 comprising bolts 10 engaging holes 8 in the top of the castor forks 6. The bolts are raised against the pressure of springs 18 by the rotation of a shaft 20 having cut-away portions engaging recesses 22 in the sides of the bolts. The shaft may be rotated through levers and rods 20, 26, by handles 27 and 34 at the back and front of the carriage Specification 523,115 is referred to. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 171,312, 320,271, [both in Class 108 (ii)], and 406,456.
