Abstract

522,509. Helmets. COLLIS, F. G. April 13, 1939, No. 11194. [Class 63] The inner frame of a "tin" helmet carries buffers each comprising a flat portion for connection to the frame and a resilient projection along one edge to contact with the metal shell. The flat portion 3 may be slotted to be threaded over the strip members 1, 2 of the frame, or to receive tongues stamped out of the frame. The projections may be bored to increase this resiliency. The buffers are, preferably, of rubber.
