522,109. Solenoids. VICKERS, Inc. Dec. 5, 1938, No. 35333. Convention date, Dec. 13, 1937. [Class 35] A solenoid has a winding on a sleeve carrying end members of plastic material, one of which has one or more terminal posts with a reinforcing electrically conducting core traversed by a winding lead secured to the outer end of the conducting core. In the form shown, leads 20 of one winding 13 of a solenoid-operated valve are passed through tubular reinforcements 18 of the binding posts 15, 16 integral with one end member 11 on the sleeve 12. The end members 10, 11 are of moulded insulating material and the leads 20 are soldered to the outer ends of the conducting reinforcing members 18.
