Abstract

521,806. Glazing bars. WILLIAMS & WILLIAMS. Ltd., and WILLIAMS, J. Nov. 25, 1938, No. 34328. [Class 20 (iii)] In a glazing - bar having a web A with main abutments C projecting from its base and one or more auxiliary abutments A<SP>1</SP>, A<SP>2</SP> and A<SP>3</SP> near the upper end, interchangeable distance pieces F<SP>2</SP> and G<SP>2</SP> are provided which are adapted to engage both the main abutments and the base of the bar. These distance pieces may engage in a groove in the base of the bar. Sheets of glass D' and D are clamped between the main abutments or distance pieces and auxiliary abutments by spring members H. The use of distance pieces as described enables the sheets of glass attached to one bar to be overlapped to various extents as shown.
