Abstract
521,571. Coloured concrete for walls, roofs, and roads. ANFT, P., and HASSENSTEIN, W. Nov. 22, 1938, No. 33972. [Classes 20 (i) and 20 (iv)] Walls, roofs, roads and the like are camouflaged by constructing them of batches of different coloured concretes, cast in situ, to form an integral mass with variations of colour extending throughout its entire thickness. In the event of damage occurring the exposed portions are still multicoloured and therefore indistingushable from the original surface. The cement used in the concrete may be previously coloured or alternatively the colour may be added during the mixing. Coloured stone powder and brick powder, or fibrous substances coloured with tar or mineral colours may be used as colouring material. Bituminous emulsions such as densin cerein oil, or ceresit, may be used with the water in the mixing to render the concrete waterproof. Alum and permanganate of potash may be used to swell the fibrous material when such is used in the concrete.
