Abstract

521,520. Engine supports. JULIEN, M. F. A. Nov. 22, 1938, Nos. 33905, and 33906. Convention dates, Nov. 23, 1937, and Oct. 31, 1938. [Class 4] [Also in Group XXXII] A resilient mounting, applicable to engine supports, consists of two parts, each comprising an outer casing connected by resilient material to an inner central plate, and having bent-over edges adapted to register with the other part when assembled, to permit peripheral play between the edges and the central plate, and a space in the resilient material around the periphery of the plate. The casings may be channels 37a and the resilient material, such as rubber, 32a and plates 33a extend along the length thereof, openings being provided for the insertion of bolts 55. The casings may be bolted to engine bearers 51 and the bolts 55 secured to the engine casing, or vice versa.
