519,096. Dry shavers. KORTEN, E., and BASSAT (LONDON), Ltd., A. & H. Oct. 20, 1938, No. 30341. [Class 131] In a dry shaver wherein a movable slotted cylinder 7 has a combined reciprocating and oscillating movement, the fixed element with the spaced cutter edges 2, 3 and the movable element 7 with the staggered groups of slots 8, 9 are both in direct contact with the skin to be shaved. An eccentric pin 11 engages a slot 10 in the member 7 to give it an oscillaing motion and pins 6, which secure the casing 1 to the handle 5, engage additional slots 12 in the member 7 proportioned so as to permit a small reciprocating movement of the member 7. Recesses 13 are formed in the casing 1 to make the cutter limbs 2, 3 resilient so that they may be brought close to the cylinder 7 by tightening the screws 6.
