Abstract
518,090. Television transmitters. FERNSEH AKT.-GES. Aug. 15, 1938, No. 24002. Convention date, Aug. 14, 1937. [Class 40 (iii)] A cathode-ray tube monitor 10 is mounted so as to serve as the view finder of an electronic transmitter 1. The monitor 10 may be used as an oscillograph by applying the picture signals to the deflecting plates. The deflecting systems of the monitor and transmitter are preferably coupled capacitatively. The monitor may be viewed through a system of mirrors so that the image appears on the optical axis of the transmitter, Fig. 2 (not shown). The transmitter may be used with any one of a plurality of optical systems 5, 7 rotatably mounted on a turret head. The monitor and transmitter are preferably magnetically and electrostatically screened from each other. An electrical illumination meter may be mounted on the transmitter to facilitate maintenance of the correction illumination of the scanner.
