[Class 40 (iii)] In a magnetic field balance, a reflector 9 is mounted on the magnetic needle 2 and is adapted to reflect light from a lamp 7 on to a photo-electric system, for example two cells 6 connected to an instrument 12 which indicates the inclination of the magnetic needle.
