Abstract
516,156. Coin-freed article-delivering apparatus. MAATSCHAPPIJ VAN BERKEL'S PATENT, N. V. July 14, 1938, No. 20870. Convention date, Sept. 22, 1937. [Class 27] In a coin - freed apparatus for delivering cylindrical articles, and having a magazine 5 the lower portion of which has a delivery opening 8 slightly larger than the diametral section of an article, a finger 10 is pivoted at 11 at a level where two or more of the articles 3, 4 tend to jam and extends beneath one of the articles 4. When the delivery drawer or like member 9 is pulled out after prepayment, an adjustable screw abutment 12 on the drawer engages an arm 13 rigid with the finger 10 to rock the finger 10 upwardly and raise the article 4 along the inclined rear wall 7 of the magazine 5 thereby relieving the jam and allowing the article 3 to drop down towards the delivery opening 8. The front wall of the magazine is vertical and the rear wall converges towards the opening 8. For. long articles, two fingers may be provided to act on the ends of the article 4.
