515,739. Impedance networks. ROBINSON, J. May, 9, 1938, No. 13848. Divided out of and Addition to 509,040. [Class 40 (iii)] A frequency-selective circuit having a bandpass or band-absorption characteristic comprises two or more selective circuits A, B of the kind described in Specification 509,040 in which each circuit comprises two resonant devices, such as piezo-electric devices 13, 14 and 46, 47, connected in parallel and fed in opposed phase (or having their outputs connected in opposed phase), a non-resonant phase-changing device, such as a condenser 16, 49, being connected in parallel with one of the resonant devices. The corresponding resonant devices 13, 46 and 14, 47 in each circuit have substantially the same resonant frequency, but the condensers 16, 49 are differently adjusted so that each selective circuit has a minimum or zero response at two frequencies which are different for each circuit, e.g. at f2, f3 for one circuit and at f4, f5 for the other.
