Abstract

512,899. Washers. KING & CO., Ltd., J. A., and KING, J. A. March 17, 1938, No. 8288. [Class 89 (i)] [Also in Group X] A washer 4 for use in securing the panels 1 of a glazed structure to a supporting gridwork 2 is of cruciform shape, such that it enters rabbets formed along the edges of the panels and engages the corners of four adjacent panels, being fastened by means of a screw 6 which enters a threaded ferrule 7 in the grid. Ribs 5 provided on the underside of the washers project between the edges of the panels. A modified form of washer for use with thin unrabbeted sheets of glass is of square shape, provided with locating ribs on the underside, the upper surface being of shallow domed or pyramid form.
