Abstract
511,436. Enamelling. SCHRIML, R. and KAISER, G. Feb. 17, 1938, No. 4931. Convention date, Feb. 17, 1937. [Class 56] [Also in Group XL] A non-radio-active luminous substance for example zinc sulphide mixed with a heavy metal is heated to 1300‹C. to enable it to be used in enamelling without impairment by firing temperatures between 500‹C. and 900‹C. The luminous substance may be applied to a white enamelled body with the help of an adhesive and the body then fired, glazed and fired again. Alternatively the luminous substance may be mixed with a glaze in the proportion of 1 : 3 and the previously enamelled article coated with the mixture by dipping, spraying &c. and fired.
