Abstract
511,141. Oven doors; combination ranges. CRUMBLEHULME, Ltd., and BRADLEY, H. Feb. 10, 1938, No. 4138. [Class 126] The door or doors c<1>, c<2> of an oven associated with an open fireplace are provided with concealed hinges g located within the area of the door or doors, and the oven is formed with a recess or recesses into which the overhanging edge of the door, or each door, enters when opening, the door or doors when closed being flush with the front of the oven. The recesses are formed between inwardly inclined portions a<1> of the oven, and outwardly inclined portions d' of members d which are attached to the sides of the oven adjustably, so that they can be fitted against the surround h. The side cheeks of the fireplace are connected by adjustable angle brackets l to flanges k which can be adjusted to fit the fireplace surround. Specification 511,140 is referred to. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 472,535.
