509,667. Dentures. HESSELS, D. Oct. 25, 1938, No. 30858. Convention date, Oct. 25, 1937. Drawings to Specification. [Class 81 (ii)] In dentures or parts thereof made of synthetic material, the tooth-receiving part or the part or parts adjacent to the teeth is or are opaque and of suitable colour, for instance white, pink or flesh colour, and the remaining part is transparent and preferably colourless, although it may be of rose, pink or flesh colour. The synthetic material may be a polymerized product of methacrylic and/or acrylic acid together with, if desired, plasticizers, hardening agents, fillers and colouring substances, products known under the Registered Trade Marks " Plexigum," " Plexigum M " and " Plexiglass " being specified. So much filler is added to the material forming the tooth-receiving parts that it is not transparent. The invention is applicable to an entire artificial set of teeth or to a part thereof containing or adapted to contain one or more teeth.
