Abstract
505,764. Television receivers. WHITE, E. L. C. Oct. 15, 1937, No. 28110. [Class 40 (iii)] Line and frame synchronizing signals, distinguished by duration, are isolated by a valve 1 and applied to an inductance 11, the current. in which grows to a value dependent upon the duration of a signal. At the end of the signal, the inductance 11 and shunt capacity 7 oscillate to give a pulse at 13 whose amplitude depends on the duration of the synchronizing signal. The larger amplitude pulses correspond to frame synchronizing signals and are isolated by an amplitude filter or the whole train may be applied to a frame deflecting oscillator biassed to respond to the larger pulses only. The oscillator may be of the type described in Specification 402,629. The line deflecting oscillator may be controlled by pulses from 12, or 14. The condenser 7 may be the distributed capacity of the inductance. The inductance is preferably damped by a resistance 10. Specification 455,375 is referred to. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 484,412.
