[Class 78 (i)] [Also in Groups II, V, XVII, and XXIV] A conveyer or sieve is vibrated by a member carrying a rotary unbalanced mass such as an electric motor having an unbalanced rotor, two or more points on the member at different levels with respect to the surface of the conveyer or sieve being connected to the body to be vibrated. In the form shown, the motor 9 has an unbalanced rotor, and its base is'secured to the centre of the sieve a while the top of the motor is connected by ties 11 to points b, c on the sieve 2 situated midway between the centre and the ends d, e. Each end of the sieve frame 3 is supported by spring elements 14, one pair permanently attached to the base and the other to a sector 13a which enables the inclination of the sieve to be adjusted.
