Abstract
503,707. Toilet cases. STANLEY, L. G. May 3, 1938, No. 13110. Convention date, Jan. 25. [Class 133] A case, shallow relative to its width and length and adapted to contain small objects, e.g. toilet articles, has a flat stiff base 5 (made e.g. of leather preferably reinforced with card-board), limp peripheral side walls 8 (e.g. of leather), a limp (e.g. leather) top 9, and an opening, smaller than top, closed by a (leather) flap 12 having attached thereto one part of a sliding clasp fastener the other part of which is attached to the free edges of the opening. The flap may be integral with the top. The fastening lies flat at the edges A and vertical at the edge B. In a modification, the fastening stands vertically throughout its length. In another modification, Fig. 7, the flap is broader but shorter than the opening. The case may be covered with ornamental fabric.
