Abstract

502,492. Straightening. CLEVER, O. Sept. 20, 1937, No. 25444. [Class 83 (iv)] In apparatus for straightening rods &c. a straightening die 9 is mounted in an antifriction bearing 8 in a holder 5 secured by bolts passing through holes 7 to a pinion 3. A collar on the holder engages an eccentric groove 11 in the pinion. The eccentricity of the die is adjusted by rotating the holder 5 relatively to the pinion. A plurality of pinions 3 with one or two dies may be used.
