Abstract
501,887. Motor - vehicle frames &c. INTERNATIONAL LATEX PROCESSES, Ltd. June 30, 1938, No. 19395. Convention date, Jan. 4. Drawings to Specification. [Class 79 (iv)] [Also in Groups V and XXXIII] Vibration in structural elements such as motor vehicle parts is reduced by the application of soft rubber particles deposited from latex, forming a rough, uneven surface. A smooth layer may be applied first, and intermediate layers may be applied varying progressively in texture, from smooth to rough. The latex may be sprayed on to the surface under such conditions that the particles are rapidly coagulated without coalescing, such as by heating the article or the surrounding atmosphere, or by spraying latex and coagulant in succession, or simultaneously. U.S.A. Specifications 1,943,423, and 1,943,424 are referred to.
