500,902. Cooking-stoves. URE, G. A. Dec. 10, 1937, No. 34208. Addition to 471,084. [Class 126] In a cooking-stove in which an oven 2 disposed at one side of a fire-chamber 1 is surrounded by a passage 3 through which air circulates in a closed circuit, a heat-accumulative heavy metal plate 4 is suspended in the part of the air passage between the oven and the fire-chamber. The plate 4 may have vertical ribs on its side nearer the fire-chamber, and a heat reflecting plate 6 may be applied to that side of the oven adjacent to the plate 4. Alternatively, heat-insulating material may fill the space between the oven 2 and the plate 4. According to the Provisional Specification, dampers controlling the part of the air passage between the oven and the fire-chamber may be provided.
