500,605. Change-speed gearing. ALBION MOTORS, Ltd., and KEMP, J. A. Dec. 3, 1937, No. 33457. [Class 80 (ii)] Epicyclic overdrive gearing, arranged between the engine shaft 3 and the driving pinion 5 of a motor-vehicle changespeed gear, imparts an overdrive to a driven annulus 4, fast to the pinion 5, when a loose sun-wheel 6 is braked at 8, direct-drive being provided by a one-way clutch 9, arranged in the concentric space between the loose sun-wheel 6 and the boss 7 of the planetcarrie, 2, which latter is fast to the driving shaft 3.
