Abstract
500,008. Fluid - -pressure servomotorcontrol systems. JUNKERS & CO., GES. March 21, 1938, No. 8630. Convention date, March 20, 1937. [Class 135] An automatic mixing device for hot and cold water includes a thermostat 24 with valve 25 governing a control line 26, the hot water pipe 20 being almost closed at the start and being gradually opened to its full extent, the cold water pipe 28 being opened only when pipe 20 is passing the maximum amount of water and at a temperature above that set by the control screw 23. In Fig. 1. the control line 26 convoys cold water from chamber 29 with an ejector action at 27 which reduces the pressure in chamber 31 and causes diaphragm 32 and valve 34 to lift. Valve 34 has a striker 38 which, when the seating 21 is fully open, engages and lifts valve 36 to allow cold water from pipe 28 to pass to the mixing chamber 22. In Fig. 2, the control line 26 conveys hot water through a port 27 in a piston 39 with adjusting screw 41, the hot water pipe 20 being fully opened before the cold water pipe 28 is opened.
