498,379. Electric furnaces. FEENY, V. F. (Soc. Anon. des Manufactures des Glaces et Produits Chimiques de St.-Gobain, Chauny, et Cirey) Aug. 11, 1937, No. 21019/38. [A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Feb. 15, 1938.] [Class 39 (iii)] In a furnace in which glass is heated by passage of current from submerged electrodes arranged across the path of flow, at least one electrode E is associated with a transverse refractory member H extending from the electrode to above the surface of the glass. Specifications 262,535, [Class 39 (iii)], and 489,207 are referred to.
