[Class 40 (ii)] [Also in Group XX] The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 describes an apparatus for the reproduction of a continuous sound record on an endless film fed continuously from the inside of a coil, over a feed drum and rewound on the outside of the coil. As shown in Fig. 12 (Cancelled) the sound record begins at the point 43 and ends at 45, the tracks merging into one another at 44. Between the points 43 and 45 is a notch 46 operating mechanism to register the reproducing system successively with each track. The reproducing apparatus, Fig. 8 (Cancelled), comprises a light source 31, reflector 32, and film 12, the light passing to the photocell 37 through a lens 34 and a stop 36, a spirally slotted rotatable disc 35 being provided to select the track to be reproduced. Alternatively the disc 35 may be omitted and the cell casing pivoted so as to move across the film to select the track. In the modification shown in Fig. 10 (Cancelled), a reflecting prism 42 is placed behind the film so that light passing through the film is reflected to a photocell 37, a selection disc 35 being provided. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
