Abstract
495,490. Sliding shelves, trays, &c. THOMAS, B., and THOMAS, E. June 30, 1937, No. 18123. [Class 52 (i)] Sliding shelves, trays, &c. for use in openwork racks of the kind described in Specification 432,724 have detachable or retractable retaining means 16 located at the rear of the tray 12 adapted to limit the forward movement of the tray by engaging the front member 10 of the rack and accessible through the openwork rack for detachment or retraction to enable the tray to be removed completely from the rack when required. The tray slides on inclined bearers 11 and the retaining members 16 are of channel section embracing a flange 18 on the upper edge of the rear wall 19 of the tray to which they are secured by bolts 22, and have projecting horns 20 notched to engage the front uprights 10. In modifications the retaining member comprises a slidable bolt either horizontal or inclined, or a peg fitted in a socket on the rear wall of the tray. The tray may have a partition 15 of the kind described in Specification 318,271, [Class 18].
