Abstract

493,594. Snap action switches. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., and HARRISON, W. J. D. March 3, 1938, No. 6681. [Class 38 (v)] A snap-action switch for high-frequency currents comprises contact spring sets 1, 3 operable by cams 5 on a shaft 7. The cams are provided with an arm 13 which engages a hole in a U -shaped link pivoted at 17, 12 and driven through a dead-centre tension spring 21 by a link 19 moved by an operating knob 20. The contact springs and cam-shaft are mounted on a frame 23 and can be removed as a unit without disturbing the actuating mechanism.
