Abstract
493,060. Electric immersion heaters. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd., SIMS, W. J., and FELLA, J. H. March 30, 1937, No. 9063. [Class 39 (iii)] A strip of tinned copper is wound helically around an immersion heater with the edges of the strip abutting and the surface of the strip in good contact with the outer surface of the heater. When descaling is necessary the strip is unwound and replaced by a new strip.
