[Class 141] A garter comprises an upper zone or band a of elastic material, e.g. elastic fabric adapted to fit over the calf, a similar lower zone or band b adapted tc fit over and hold the upper edge of the sock d, and an interconnecting circumferential fabric zone or band c<1> preferably of openwork oi knitted fabric. The joining edges of the blank intended to form the garter are preferably cut-away so that the garter may conform to the shape of the calf.
