Abstract

490,862. Flyer frame driving-arrangements. TWEEDALES & SMALLEY (1920), Ltd., and BLOMLEY, F. March 17, 1937, No. 7766. [Class 120 (ii)] In flyer frames wherein both lines of spindles and bobbins are driven by helical gearing from central shafts, the bobbin shaft b<2> is driven from the main shaft E by a chain F tensioned by a pivotally mounted sprocket K, and the spindle shaft a<2> is driven by similar chain, the two chains being mounted at the gearing end of the machine. The Provisional Specification comprises also the application of the invention to machines wherein the spindles and bobbins are driven by bevel wheels.
