Abstract

490,769. Rollers ; lap - forming apparatus. BAMFORD, D. Feb. 26, 1937, No. 5744. [Class 42 (ii)] [Also in Group IX] A calendering, embossing or like bowl is made from cotton or other fibre with the fibres radial or substantially so. The fibres e are formed into a lap f which is thicker at one edge than at the other so that when it is wound round the roller spindle it is of uniform thick ness. The table k on which the lap is formed is reciprocated endways and also transversely this latter being to different extents as indicated. Specification 415,292 is referred to.
