487,800. Movement-restraining garments. RICHMOND, A. F. D. Feb. 16. 1937, No. 4595. [Class 81 (ii)] A garment for restraining the movements of patients comprises a closely fitting body part a having arm or leg sleeves, or both, secured thereto throughout their length. The arm sleeves may be external to the garment or may be formed by fabric strips c secured at their longitudinal edges to the inside thereof. The leg sleeves d are similarly formed. The sleeves may be open or closed at their lower ends. The garment may be of waist length, if provided with arm sleeves only, or full length, and may have a yoke b open at the back, and a collar secured by a strap and buckle or draw cords. The garment may be divided at the back and provided with a sliding fastening and a similarly fastened slit may be provided at the front. Draw cords may be provided at the lower end.
