[Class 52 (iv)] Diametrical strips of metal 2 are secured to the tops of upholstery springs 1 by spot welding them to underlying strips 3. The strips may be continuous or in short pieces and may serve to connect the springs and the strips at the top and bottom surfaces may be arranged at right-angles to each other and diagonally of the assembly.
