Abstract
486,639. Resistance coatings; ornamenting pottery. TRIGGS, W. W. (Rosenthal-Isolatoren Ges.) Sept. 10, 1937, No. 24692. [Class 37] [Also in Group X] High ohmic resistances with low temperature coefficients, of the kind comprising a mixture of salt solutions of precious metals, or pigments burnt on a ceramic base, are made from a mixture of 20 to 50 per cent platinum and 50 to 80 per cent silver or gold. Additions of 0À1 to 5 per cent of rhodium, palladium or osmium alone or together may be made. The mixture is applied to the carrier by painting, spraying or dipping and is thereafter baked at temperatures between 300- 1000‹ C.
