Abstract
484,956. Wireless receiving-apparatus. NAAMLOOZE VEINNOOTSCHAP PHILIPS' GLOEILAMPENFABRIEKEN. Aug. 31, 1937, No. 23821. Convention date, Sept. 3, 1936. [Class 40 (v)] The casing 1 of a radio receiver comprises a single moulding of synthetic resin, the inner surface of which is provided with projections to which the components are secured. Apertures 4 and 5 for the loudspeaker and tuning scale respectively are provided in a rectangular projection moulded with the casing ; this projection also carries moulded guides 14, 15 for two intermediate-frequency transformers which are cemented in place as shown in Fig. 5. The tuning coils are cemented in rimmed projections 11 ; lugs 6 carry the output transformer and lugs 13 the tuning condensers and wave-range switch. The mains supply apparatus is mounted on a wooden base 2 detachably mounted in the base of the casing. The valves are mounted in holders 8. The invention renders a unitary chassis unnecessary and facilitates assembly and mass production.
