Abstract
484,653. Sawing. BRITISH THOMSON - HOUSTON CO., Ltd. Oct. 26, 1937, No. 29266. Convention date, Oct. 27, 1936. [Class 145 (ii)] Reciprocating saw.-In an electrically driven. fret saw of the type in which the upper end of the blade 5 is fixed to a resilient tensioning bow 18 and the lower end to a steel plate 3, which is reciprocated by an A.C. magnet 2 with the frequency of the A.C., the table 9 is fastened to the casing 8 of the magnet so that its height is adjustable. The height of bow 18 is also adjustable. The table may be hinged to the downward extension piece 12 which is clamped to the magnet casing. Specifications 14400/97, [Class 145], and 2919/10. [Class 145 (ii)], are referred to.
