Abstract
484,606. Closures for milk-bottles. FLEISSNER, H., and STAIGER, J. Nov. 9, 1936, No. 30573. Convention date, Nov. 8, 1935. [Class 125 (iii)] In a closure for a milk-bottle, having an external horizontal groove 5 below the rim of the bottle, a rigid closure disc 2 having lateral projections 10 on its flat horizontally directed rim is held in place over soft packing material such as a paper ring 6 on the opening of the bottle by a bent spring 3 having vertical limbs 4 engaging by means of projections with the groove 5 and bent up at their lower ends 7 so that a sealing strip 8 placed around the limbs cannot be axially removed without tearing it. The spring 3 passes through eyelets 9 on the upper side of disc 2 so that it cannot slip off.
