Abstract
484,049. Steam separators. ATLASWERKE AKT.-GES. July 2, 1937, No. 18494. Convention date, Sept. 30, 1936. [Class 123 (iii)] An annular plate i held between the junction flanges of the cylindrical part a and cover b of a vessel such as a steam receiver traversed axially by wet steam, supports a separator comprising a perforated annular container c for filtering bodies disposed round the aperture k in the supporting plate. A closure plate h at the end of the container remote from plate i causes steam to pass outwardly through the separator, water passing through a perforated floor d to an outlet duct m. In a modification having a shallower cover the separator depends from plate i the steam passing inwardly through it and out through aperture k.
