Abstract

483,894. Collapsable tubes. RICKENBACH, E. June 22, 1937, No. 17347. Convention date, March 30. [Class 66] A device to be applied to the end of a collapsable tube for rolling it up and extruding the contents comprises a longitudinally slotted roller 1, Fig. 3, the ends of the slot 2 being formed into enlargements or recesses 3 into which the corners of the end of the tube are forced or turned over to anchor the roller to the tube. The attachment may be assisted by a pin 6, Fig. 4, passed into a lateral opening 5, and indenting, as shown, or penetrating the end. The device may be employed with tubes having the usual folded ends or with those having the ends simply pressed flat.
