[A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Oct. 12, 1937.] [Class 13] [Also in Group XXXIX] A device for improving the sound emitted by a loud-speaker comprises a reflecting member 17 disposed externally of the loud speaker H and constructed to form an air chamber having a perforated wall 18 which faces the front of the loud-speaker The reflecting member is steppec in cross-section and may be pro vided with plates to reduce the natural resonance of the air chamber. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91, in cludes a loud-speaker arrange ment, Fig. 11 (Cancelled) in which curved reflectors 36, 38 are mounted adjacent an opening ir a cabinet 34 housing a loud speaker of which only the dia phragm 35 is shown. The reflectors which are formed with holes 37, 39 out of radial alignment, are relatively adjustable. Modifications of Fig. 11 are described in which the inner member is of corrugated form, and may be without perforations and in which the inner member 38 is mounted so that its concave surface faces the concave surface of the member 36. The reflectors may be constructed with openings having outwardly directed edge portions. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
