Abstract

480,233. Meat - cutting machines. AUJA - INDUSTRIE GES. July 29, 1937, No. 21020. Convention date, March 22. [Class 28 (ii)] In a meat-cutting and mixing machine of the kind having a number of double-edged rotary knife blades arranged in a plurality of planes, the blades of each plane are stamped out together from a sheet of metal. The blades are made of thin steel, the requisite rigidity being derived from a high rotation speed. As shown, the cutter shaft 3 is fitted with three cutters 1, each having three blades 2 and provided with a recess 7 which embraces the shaft and is deep enough to allow the cutter to be readjusted after grinding. The cutters are spaced by distance pieces and are clamped against a collar on the shaft by nuts and a washer. The cutting-edge of each blade 2 is continuous from one side of its base to the other.
