Abstract

480,065. Albums. HILL, V. D. May 7, 1937, No. 13089. [Class 11] [Also in Group XX] A viewing device for observing stereoscopic pictures comprises lenses supported in an arm mounted on a carriage which is slidable on a rail adapted to be attached to the edge of a book containing the pictures, the arm and lenses being capable of erection into operative position and of being folded into non-operative position. The rail 13 is of non-circular form except for a part 14, and the slidable carriage consists of a strip 15, the end 16 of which encloses the rail. The rail carries at each end a clip 26 which can be attached to, or embedded in, the cover of a book 10. When the strip 15 is moved on to the circular part 14 of the rail, it can be turned down into the cover which may be formed with a recess to receive it.
