Abstract
477,223. Electromagnetic relays. LIONEL CORPORATION. Aug. 25, 1936, No. 23309. Convention date, Aug. 31, 1935. [Class 38 (v)] [Also in Group XXXVIII] An electromagnetic relay connected to a circuit normally carrying alternating current but adapted to be operated only when direct current is superimposed thereon, has a magnetic circuit comprising a yoke 66, core 65, a shunt path 67 and copper shading rings 68. The movable contact spring 71 riveted to armature 70 has hinge-forming extensions 73 passing through slots in member 75 secured to the yoke, the extensions having prongs 76 which prevent withdrawal and maintain the armature in contact with the yoke at the hinged end.
