476,645. Stationary-mould machines. SHAW & SONS (SALFORD), Ltd., J., and SHAW, J. B. June 12, 1936, No. 16392. [Class 87 (ii)] A hydraulic moulding-press has a valve gear (such as described in Specification 347,243, [Group XXIX]), for controlling the sequence of operations of the press, a feed device for the raw material, and a hydraulic cushion device between the mould and the press frame to limit the mould pressure. The piston i, forming the floating piston of the cushion carries the cylinder n, the piston o of which operates the ejector p. The rotary shaft of the valve gear operates the feed device m through the cam l, the material being fed from the hopper v. A trough x receives the finished articles which are removed by the ejector and the feed plates w.
