Abstract
475,420. Impedance networks. MULLARD RADIO VALVE CO., Ltd., and CLARK, R. G. May 18, 1936, No. 14055. [Class 40 (iii)] A band-pass filter whose band-width can be varied without disturbance of the mean pass frequency comprises a pair of tuned circuits L1C1, L2C2, coupled by a variable condenser. having a pair of plates P1, P2, which are connected respectively to the tuned circuits and a relatively movable pair P3, P4, of which P4 is thick and insulated while P3 is thin and earthed. P3, P4 form a stator while P1, P2, form a rotor, or vice versa, and the plates may all be semicircular. The coils L1, L2, may have mutual inductances which has the minimum negative value that permits of critical coupling. Specification 460,186 is referred to. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 455,619.
