[Class 132 (ii)] [Also in Group XVIII] An amusement apparatus comprises a table on which articles are displayed, an article ejector adapted automatically to traverse the table, and means whereby the operator can effect movement of the whole of the table in a direction transverse to the movement of the ejector throughout such movement. As shown, an annular table 12 is rotatable by means of a hand-wheel 23 so that a selected article thereon can be brought into the path of movement of an ejector 55. The centre part 13 of the table is of upwardly conical formation, and has a central opening 14 through which an article can be discharged to a delivery receptacle. To operate the ejector 55, a handle 29 is given half a turn in a clockwise direction, so that a pawl 32 on an arm 31 engages under a projection 33 on a heavy slidable bar 28 and raises it until the pawl 32 slips past the projection 33. The bar 28 then slowly descends under the control of a centrifugal governor 37 geared to rack teeth on the bar, and its movement is transmitted by means of a pawl 43, bell-crank 45, and a rod 48 to a vertical shaft 24 supporting the ejector which moves inwardly towards the opening 14, and discharges an article therethrough if the operator has successfully located the table 12 before or during the movement of the ejector. The ejector is supported by a link 27 carried by a lever 26, which is free to pivot upwardly on an arm 25 of the shaft 24 in order to allow the ejector to rise up the conical centre part of the table. A pivotal connection is provided between the ejector and link 27, and the ejector is bevelled at 57 for the same reason. The link 27 is free to pivot backwardly on the lever 26 to enable the ejector to ride over articles on the table during its return movement. The return movement of the ejector is effected by a weight tensioned cord 58 attached to the bell-crank 45, when the pawl 43 has passed out of engagement with the bell-crank. The handle 29 is locked after it has raised the bar 28 by engagement of a pawl 39 with a ratchet wheel 38, but is freed again as the bar reaches its lower position.
