Abstract
474,000. Ventilators ; window guards. HUGHES. B. D., and GREENWOOD'S VENTILATING CO., Ltd. May 8, 1936, Nos. 13045, 1'3046, and 13047. [Classes 20 (iii) and 137] A ventilating window or larder light has one or more unglazed portions each provided with a hinged frame adapted to close against the main frame, and hold a gauze or like sheet in position. A main frame 1 is divided by a bar 2 into a glazed lower part 3 and an upper part which receives a movable member formed with louvres 5 integrally with side members 6. A hinged frame member 7 holds in position the movable member and a sheet 8 of gauze or perforated zinc, and is secured by a turnbuckle 11. In modifications, the slats or louvres may be slid into grooves in the side members or may rest in brackets. In Fig. 8 the louvres are replaced by a hopper type ventilator 18, and in Fig. 11 staggered louvres 5<1>, 5<2> each downwardly inclined and having the gauze screen 8 between them, are secured in place by the hinged screen 7.
