473,457. Caps or bonnets. FROOM, C. R. Jan. 29, 1937, No. 2656. [Class 63] Caps or bonnets, especially uniform caps for hospital nurses, are provided with a back seam or hem a<1> at the lower edge of the back of the cap housing a tape or the like which may be elastic and which has its ends detachably anchored to the cap to gather or pucker the rear part of the cap. For washing and ironing the tape is removed, when the cap can be opened out flat. As shown, buttons b are engaged by loops at the ends of an elastic cord. In modifications, hooks, tags or buttons may replace the loops.
