Abstract

473,388. Golf club bags. BREEN jun., H., and CUT HILL, G. Nov. 24 1936, Nos. 32090/3( and 19224/37. [Class 132 (ii)] A golf-bag stanc comprises a rod 1 spiked at its lower end 2 and sleeved by a tube 3 which is pre ferably adjustable in length and is securec to the bag at its upper end by means of e collar 6 which has radial arms 7 attached to the mouth 8 by clips 9 and at its lower end by spaced threaded washers 5 A sleeve 15 provided with a handle 11 is slidably mounted on the rod 1, a spring 14 being interposed between the handle and the rod, and a spring catch 17 carried bv the rod 1 engages in a slot 16 until the sleeve 15 is pushed downwardly causing the catch 17 to be released and allow the spike 2 to enter the ground. A spring 19 may be interposed between a collar 20 and the collar 6.
