473,325. Cylinders. BUCHI, A. March 4, 1936, No. 20129/37. Divided out of and addition to 456,806 under which a Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Sept. 7, 1936. [Class 7 (ii)] A four-stroke sleeve-valve engine, which is scavenged by overlap of the exhaust and inlet periods, and in which the charge is whirled round a restricted combustion chamber by co-operating helical faces on the piston and cylinder head, as described in the parent Specification, operates with combustible mixture and artificial ignition. Air only is used during the overlap of the exhaust and inlet periods, mixture being introduced after closure of the exhaust ports.
